Job summary

TRAC Intermodal in Chicago, IL seeks a Safety Technician to support OSHA, DOT, FMCSA compliance, deliver safety training, conduct site inspections, and maintain records. The role collaborates with leadership to promote consistent safe work practices and a strong safety culture at the service center.

Preference for a Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years in transportation/logistics with DOT/OSHA familiarity; strong MS Office skills and ability to travel locally as needed are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 1–3 years in transportation/logistics or related to DOT and OSHA guidelines.
• Strong understanding of federal, state and local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safety and compliance programs at the Chicago service center.
• Perform routine inspections and audits to identify hazards and gaps.
• Assist with incident investigations and coordinate corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and daily safety communications.
