Job summary

ThompsonGas is seeking a DOT Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. This on-site role will coordinate recruiting across the US, focusing on high-volume needs like Delivery Drivers and Service Technicians, and collaborate with field operations to meet hiring standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of related recruiting experience in an industrial industry, with nationwide recruitment experience preferred (including California/West Coast).
• Trade/skilled-role recruiting experience required - including DOT-regulated drivers; prior experience using ATS (e.g., Tenstreet, DriverHub).
• Ability to work effectively across multiple levels of management and foster teamwork.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills; resourceful and able to take initiative with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute local recruiting plans for the assigned regions
• Heavy emphasis on high volume roles including Delivery Drivers (DOT regulated) and Service Techs. May assist with non-DOT regulated roles as needed.
• Use both traditional and creative sourcing strategies to build candidate pipelines
• Partner with the regional HR Business Partner and Field Operations hiring managers to align on hiring needs and candidate selection
• Track and interpret recruiting metrics to evaluate pipeline effectiveness from requisition opening through onboarding.
• Utilize company established vendors for background check/drug testing requirements
• Maintain confidentiality of HR-related information at all times
• Positively build and promote the company’s employment brand and reputation in the external environment and with potential future employees
