Job summary

State of Florida Department of Transportation seeks a DOT Intern (D4) in District Four / Transportation Operations. This role offers exposure to engineering, maintenance, and public administration through shadowing subject matter experts and learning how internal units fit the production process.

You will explore tracks in Engineering, Transportation, or Self-Designed focus areas while supporting various departments and projects within the agency.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age (prior to appointment).
• Actively enrolled in or accepted to an accredited university, college, or vocational/technical school for the duration of participation.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge, skills and experience in the Transportation Industry.
• Assist in various tasks across different departments.
• Engage in research and provide insights to support initiatives.
• Interact with executive leadership, team leaders, project managers, fellow interns, and external partners.
• Actively participate in team projects, contribute to agency goals, and assist in driving change within the organization.
