Job summary

The State of Florida Department of Transportation is offering a DOT Intern – D4 position in the District Four area. This internship provides exposure to engineering, transportation planning, and business operations, with guidance from subject matter experts to illustrate how tasks fit into the overall production process.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited program and eager to gain hands-on experience across departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Actively enrolled in or accepted to an accredited university, college, or vocational/technical school for the duration of participation.

Responsibilities

• Gain knowledge, skills and experience in the Transportation Industry.
• Assist in various tasks across different departments.
• Interact with executive leadership, team leaders, project managers, fellow interns, and external partners.
• Review, gain general knowledge, and perform technical tasks within one of the following focus tracks: Engineering, Transportation, Business or Self-Designed.
