Job summary

InnovAge Driver – Participant Care transports frail and elderly participants from homes to Day Centers and appointments, delivering in-home meals and supplies along the way. You’ll perform pre/post trip inspections and assist participants in and out of vehicles, following all safety policies.

The work schedule is Monday through Friday with some Saturday and holiday rotations. DOT/defensive driving experience, one year with the elderly, and a high school diploma (or GED) are required; ability to

Qualifications

• Previous DOT and Defensive Driving experience
• One year of experience working with the frail or elderly
• High school diploma or GED or one year of experience in the duties may substitute in absence of diploma
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drives InnovAge vehicles safely, following policies and routes.
• Loads/unloads participants and assists them into/out of homes.
• Transports participants to pre-arranged appointments.
• Delivers in-home meals, supplies and medications, ensuring correct recipients.
• Assists participants into homes and helps with simple tasks as needed.
• Keeps Dispatch updated on events for assigned routes.
• Maintains vehicle safety and cleanliness; coordinates van maintenance.
• Assists other drivers with loading/unloading of participants.
• Participates in Plans of Care for PACE program participants with interdisciplinary team.
