Candidates should have a Radiation Therapy certificate or radiologic tech degree, and be pursuing dosimetry training; strong anatomy knowledge and computer skills are essential for accuracy and patient safety.

The Dosimetrist Assistant will do the pre-work and post-work around the treatment planning process. Importing CT Simulation scans, generating normal tissue contours and post processing of approved treatment plans. This person will utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation therapy techniques, physics, and technology. The Dosimetrist Assistant will communicate with the Dosimetrist during the treatment planning process and participate in communicating the plan to the Radiation Oncologist, Medical Physicist, and the Radiation Therapist for implementation.
