Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• ARRT-T Radiation Therapy credential, or CMD certification.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge and skills in advanced treatment planning techniques.
• Simulates or supervises simulation of patients using CT or other devices to localize treatment area under the radiation oncologist guidance.
• Serves as Radiation Safety Technologist.
• Provides supervision, guidance and education for simulation/dosimetry therapists and radiation therapy students.
• Works with Chief Dosimetrist and Medical Physicist to troubleshoot and resolve clinical setups or quality issues.
• Checks charts weekly and verifies total dose(s) delivered upon completion of each course of therapy.
• Responsible for technical component of brachytherapy and stereotactic radiosurgery program.
• Relays all information pertinent for treatment delivery to radiation therapists.
• Performs and supervises mold room duties.
• Provides appropriate teaching to patients and family.
