Job summary

The John D. Dingell VAMC, part of the Veterans Health Administration, is recruiting a Therapeutic Radiologic Technologist (Dosimetrist) to join the Radiation Oncology team. The Medical Dosimetrist collaborates with Medical Physicist and Radiation Oncologist to meet cancer patient needs through radiation therapy.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and graduation from an accredited medical dosimetry program (12+ months).
• CMD certification required; ARRT(T) may be required with CMD.
• Must be certified in medical dosimetry by the MDCB. CMD is the recognized credential.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate and deliverable complex treatment plans.
• Contour critical structures and tumor volumes.
• Provide input on radiation safety practices, quality standards, and compliance.
