Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) or Board Eligible.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Science or Medical Dosimetry as required.
• Typically requires one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce acceptable treatment plans for radiation oncology patients.
• Utilize treatment planning systems for contouring, image registration, plan optimization and evaluation.
• Assist simulator staff with difficult patient setups and ensure plans meet physician parameters.
• Consult with radiation oncologist to select the best plan and obtain plan approval.
• Supervise therapists in the implementation of the selected plan and perform QA checks.
