Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital – Orange is seeking a Dosimetrist to perform treatment planning, dose calculations, and design under the supervision of a Physicist and Radiation Oncologist.

The role includes assisting with physics functions and ensuring precise communication of treatment parameters to the team. The ideal candidate has completed a Medical Dosimetry program and holds CMD certification, with preferred 1 year dosimetry experience in radiation therapy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a University or Hospital based Medical Dosimetry program with clinical and classroom curriculum of at least 9 months or more.
• National Certified Medical Dosimetrist - Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
• Preferred: 1 year of experience in radiation therapy dosimetry or related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatment planning, design and dose calculations as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
• Assist the physicist in related physics functions and quality checks.
• Collaborate with Physicians and communicate treatment parameters to the treatment team.
• Support the delivery of the radiation therapy plan to patients and ensure accuracy.
