Dormitory Attendant located in Seward!

This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 11.
As a Dormitory Attendant, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operations of student housing and recreation facilities and resources. You will supervise and provide assistance, support, and living skills development training to campus residents and their dependents in two dormitories, three apartment buildings, and the Student Services (Recreation) Center while providing 24/7 coverage of the entire Residence Life campus to maintain and ensure the health, safety, and security of the residents, visitors, and campus facilities.
Positions in the Department of Residence Life cover a 24/7 schedule when students are on campus and every effort is made to work with staff members to allow them a work schedule that meets the needs of both AVTEC and the employee. Staff in the Department of Residence Life work independently most of the time and have the ability to call a supervisor or student worker for backup assistance when necessary. Staff have regular and occasional tasks to complete each shift, in addition to general monitoring of facilities and students, as well as new and ongoing projects as necessary to meet the needs of campus facilities and respond to the changing needs of students living on campus.

Two years of paid work experience, one year of which was dealing with the public.
College education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.

This position requires CPR/AED/First Aid Certification or the ability to obtain one at the time of application.
