Job summary

Mid-Am Building Supply in Moberly, MO is seeking a full-time assembler/fabrication worker to cut, assemble and modify wood, metal and glass items for doors and windows. You will operate woodworking and metalworking tools, stock inbound materials, load vehicles, and safely use a forklift in a warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and write so that written instructions and shipping papers can be easily followed.
• Analytical skills to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems.
• Must be able to pass forklift operators test after training.
• Must have skills working with basic woodworking and metalworking tools.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Cutting, screwing, stapling, nailing, gluing, caulking and assembling wood, metal and glass materials into door and window units.
• Put away or stock inbound materials.
• Perform regular inspections, routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Load company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
• Safely operate a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
• Sweep and clean facilities.
• Observe all safety rules: safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.
• Assist in counting inventory.
