Job summary

Fortune Brands Outdoors & Security (Master Lock/Therma-Tru Doors/Fiberon/Larson) is seeking an assembler to construct metal products such as doors and windows, reading simple instructions and using various presses and machines. The role includes quality checks, safety compliance, and potential rotation across groups to meet customer demands.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, basic reading/writing skills, and the ability to measure using a tape measure.

Qualifications

Reading and writing skills are essential and must comprehend simple correspondence.
Ability to measure, read, and understand a tape measure.
Ability to add/subtract in all units of measure and process instructions.

Responsibilities

Assemble parts according to knowledge or established processes.
Fasten parts with clinching presses, screws, rivets or other fasteners and laminate wood with glue.
Operate drill presses, saws, punch presses, laminating and riveting machines.
Perform quality checks on products and assist as needed.
Adhere to safety guidelines and wear PPE; report nonconformance.
Train other workers in job skills and maintain workplace discipline.
Move between work groups and shifts as staffing requires.
Read and comprehend simple instructions and write minimal correspondence as needed.
Maintain courteous relationships with supervisors and coworkers.
