Job summary

Fortune Brands Outdoors & Security is seeking an assembler to join our shop floor team. You will assemble metal products such as doors and windows, operate drill presses and cutting equipment, and support the production process following established procedures.

Responsibilities include quality checks, safe operation per PPE guidelines, and assisting in training others. Reading and writing simple instructions is required, and flexibility to move between work groups to meet staffing needs is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Reading and writing skills are essential. Ability to read and comprehend simple correspondence and numbers.
• Ability to read and interpret simple production instructions and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts per product knowledge or established procedures.
• Fasten parts with fasteners and laminate wood with other materials as needed.
• Operate drill presses, sawing, punching, laminating, riveting equipment.
• Perform quality checks and assist in training other workers.
• Adhere to PPE and safety guidelines and report nonconformance.
• Move between work groups to meet staffing needs and customer demands.
