Job summary

OrePac Building Products is seeking a Door Service Technician to install, service, and repair interior and exterior doors for residential or commercial customers. The role emphasizes safety, heavy lifting, and frequent use of power tools with a focus on exceptional customer service during service calls.

The technician will work a full-time schedule, typically Monday through Friday, with possible Saturdays and occasional extended hours to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in door assembly and installation preferred.
• Carpentry experience required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with various hand and power tools; safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Perform service-related repairs at customers’ homes, including adjustments, replacements, painting touch-ups, measurements, and installation of replacement products.
• Safely drive to appointments and manage scheduling changes as needed.
• Analyze each service ticket to identify root causes and document resolutions.
• Collaborate with operations and sales to address quality concerns and implement countermeasures.
• Schedule and conduct dealer installation certification training and showroom updates as needed.
• Review data reports with sales and operations for continuous improvement.
• Close or status service tickets with accurate data for quality reports.
