Job summary

Schwieters Companies is seeking a full-time 2nd shift Millwork Door Jamb Builder to craft and assemble jambs and related components. The role emphasizes safe work practices, material handling, and teamwork within a warehouse setting.

Expect shifts Monday–Friday, 2:30–11pm, with overtime as needed. The position offers $21/hr, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to contribute to both residential and commercial projects with a family-owned team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a material handler preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
• Good work history and reliability.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions with clear communication.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Flexible for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Select materials for jambs and stops.
• Stitch door jambs and jamb heads.
• Cut and stitch jambs to size.
• Pick door orders from a ticket.
• Wrap, bundle, and load material for shipment.
• Manage orders to complete on time.
• Inspect material quality.
• Stand, walk, and lift repeatedly during shift.
• Communicate with department lead on progress.
• Collaborate with warehouse team for on-time deliveries.
• Operate stand/sit forklift to pick material.
• Assist with inventory counting for door jambs and stops.
• Keep stock bins full for door operators.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schwieters Companies is hiring a full-time 2nd shift Millwork Door Jamb Builder

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pick materials for jambs and stops
• Stitch door jambs
• Cut and stitch jamb heads and strike jambs to size
• Pick door orders from a pick ticket
• Wrap, bundle, and load material properly to be shipped or delivered
• Manage orders to be completed in full and on time
• Inspect all material for quality
• Stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Have constant communication with department lead on progress with work orders
• Work together with a team throughout the warehouse to achieve maximum efficiency with 100% complete and on-time deliveries
• Pick material using a stand/sit forklift as needed
• Assist with accurate inventory counting for door jambs and stops
• Keep stock bins full for door operators
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous material handler experience preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Candidate must have a good work history
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds comfortably
• Self-motivated, self-directed team player and team builder
• Able to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions, have good communication skills (verbal and written), and be detail oriented
• Capable of standing for extended periods of time
• Flexible in working overtime when necessary
