Job summary

Schwieters Companies, Inc. is hiring a full-time 2nd shift Millwork Door Jamb Builder in Hugo, MN. The role involves selecting materials, stitching jambs, cutting jamb heads, and coordinating with the team to ensure on-time deliveries.

The position offers a 2:30–11:00 pm schedule and requires the ability to lift heavy materials and operate a forklift when needed. Salary is $21 per hour with a safety-focused, family-owned environment and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience preferred.

• Ability to follow written and/or verbal instructions, strong communication, and detail orientation.
• Able to stand for extended periods and tolerate overtime.

Responsibilities

• Select materials for jambs and stops.
• Stitch door jambs and jamb heads.
• Cut and stitch jambs to size.
• Pick door orders from tickets.
• Wrap, bundle and load material for shipment or delivery.
• Ensure orders are completed on time and accurately.
• Inspect materials for quality.

Schwieters Companies is hiring a full-time 2nd shift Millwork Door Jamb Builder.

Job Responsibilities

• Pick materials for jambs and stops
• Stitch door jambs
• Cut and stitch jamb heads and strike jambs to size
• Pick door orders from a pick ticket
• Wrap, bundle, and load material properly to be shipped or delivered
• Manage orders to be completed in full and on time
• Inspect all material for quality
• Stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift
• Have constant communication with department lead on progress with work orders
• Work together with a team throughout the warehouse to achieve maximum efficiency with 100% complete and on-time deliveries
• Pick material using a stand/sit forklift as needed
• Assist with accurate inventory counting for door jambs and stops
• Keep stock bins full for door operators
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous material handler experience preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Candidate must have a good work history
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds comfortably
• Self-motivated, self-directed team player and team builder
• Able to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions, have good communication skills (verbal and written), and be detail oriented
• Capable of standing for extended periods of time
• Flexible in working overtime when necessary

WORK SCHEDULE

• Monday-Friday, 2:30-11pm, overtime as needed (2nd shift)
  • Train on 1st shift

PAY

• $21/hr. (2nd shift)
