Job summary

Fernwood Property Management seeks a part-time Door Attendant for Regents Park in Chicago. The shift from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM offers a pay rate of $20.35 per hour. You will warmly greet residents and guests, assist with service needs, and ensure a welcoming, secure entry experience.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, managing access, logging packages, answering calls, and supporting maintenance as needed. 1–2 years of customer service experience and basic front desk skills required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of previous customer service experience.
• Basic knowledge of front desk equipment including computer and telephone systems.
• Yardi experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests warmly and professionally.
• Assist residents with service needs and ensure they feel welcome.
• Adhere to building security procedures and verify IDs for entry.
• Answer phones and route calls as needed.
• Log packages for residents and coordinate with maintenance as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

A Door Attendant brings positive energy to each conversation, resolves issues quickly and effectively, and makes everyone feel welcome and appreciative.

We are seeking to hire a part-time Door Attendant to join the Regents Park team! The shift for this role is 11p-7:30a with a pay rate of $20.35/hour.

As a Door Attendant, you will be an integral member of the team that creates authentic experiences for our Residents and their guests. The Door Attendant is the first point of contact for residents and guests entering the building. You will warmly and enthusiastically greet arriving residents and guests, assist them with their residential service needs, and ensure they are comfortable and feel welcome.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically welcome our residents and guests, anticipate their needs, provide professional and courteous service, and respond promptly and professionally.
• Creates memorable experiences with a warm, welcoming personality.
• Develops a thorough knowledge of building procedures, features, and security practices.
• Ensures security protocol is adhered to regarding granting building access and verifying identification of individuals requesting entry into the building.
• Reports any building hazards, risks, or accidents as required. Submits service requests for any maintenance/housekeeping issues.
• Handles package deliveries by accepting and logging packages for residents.
• Answers the telephone, forward calls and take messages when necessary.
• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications

• People Person. The best part of serving others is creating experiences for them that go beyond the expected.
• Great communicator. Providing amazing experiences requires the ability to communicate professionally and through legible writing
• Experience. 1-2 years of previous experience passionately providing customer service to others.
• Requires basic knowledge of front desk equipment, including computer and telephone systems. Yardi experience is a plus.
