Job summary

Clayton in Morristown, TN is hiring for a Full-time Layup Team Member on the production line. You will rotate through Feeder, Panel Flip, Door Build, and Sorter, assembling interior doors and inspecting parts for defects.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for several hours, and following the daily production schedule. Responsibilities include reading Traveler Tickets, maintaining pace of door assembly, cleaning the work area, and recording scraps.

Responsibilities

• Learn duties of Feeder, Panel Flip, Door Build, and Sorter; rotate after producing 15 stacks of 30 doors each.
• Review Traveler Ticket to verify door size and stile size; inspect parts for defects.
• Maintain work pace and adhere to the daily Production Building Schedule; cleanup at shift end.
• Conduct defect checks on door skins and enforce quality standards; keep work area clean.
• Assemble interior doors with Skin, Stile, Rail, Lock Block, and Core; ensure correct parts and positions.
• Log scraps and manage part organization; ensure correct quantities on cart.
• Adhere to safety and physical demands; operate in a fast-paced environment with pace.
