Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Layup Operator to support the production of interior doors. The role includes operating feeder, panel flip, door build, and sorter functions, with rotation across duties as volumes require.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts, following traveler tickets, maintaining workflow pace, and keeping the work area clean at end of shift. Training provided; full-time employment with benefits.

Qualifications

• Attendance and punctuality are required for all shifts.
• Dependability and ability to follow team leader and supervisor directions.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math operations.
• Able to use a tape measure for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Learn the duties of Feeder, Panel Flip, Door Build, and Sorter.
• Rotate to each job after building 15 stacks of 30 doors each.
• Review Traveler Ticket for door size accuracy.
• Inspect door parts for defects and maintain production pace.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area at shift end.
• Assemble interior doors with skins, stile, rail, lock block, and core.
