Job summary

Mid-Am Building Supply in Kansas is seeking a capable assembler/fabricator for wooden, metal and glass door and window units. You will cut, screw, staple, nail, glue and assemble components to tight specifications, stock materials, and load outbound shipments.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, inventory counting, equipment maintenance, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. A high school diploma or GED is required; knowledge of carpentry helps.

Qualifications

• Must read and write to follow written instructions and fill shipping papers.
• Analytical thinking to solve problems.
• Must pass forklift operator test after training.
• Experience with basic wood and metal working tools is preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Cut, screw, staple, nail, glue and assemble wood, metal and glass into door/window units.
• Stock inbound materials and assist with inventory.
• Load outbound shipments and operate forklift as needed.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Observe safety rules and wear protective gear.
