Job summary

Infinite Legacy is seeking a Tissue Recovery Specialist 1 in Baltimore, MD to support surgical tissue recovery, including corneas and skin grafts, in accordance with SOPs and regulations. The role requires 12-hour rotating call shifts, on-site arrivals, and travel within the donor service area.

Responsibilities include operating room prep, labeling, packing, and ensuring compliance with hospital/OCME rules. A background in biology or allied health and ability to lift 75 lbs are preferred.

Qualifications

• College work in biology, chemistry or similar coursework preferred.
• Experience in allied health or science, or experience in tissue banking.
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recovery of split thickness and full thickness skin grafts and corneal tissue.
• Maintain rotating on-call schedule; shifts include nights, weekends, holidays.
• Prepare/recover supplies and equipment for sterilization and transport.
• Represent organization during off-site recoveries; communicate with pathology staff.
