Job summary

Infinite Legacy is seeking a Tissue Recovery Specialist I in Baltimore, MD. You will participate in the surgical recovery of corneas, skin grafts, and related tissues in a 12‑hour rotating on-call schedule.

The role travels to regional offices and hospitals, prepares the OR, ensures proper handling, and ships tissues per SOPs. The position requires teamwork, strict adherence to sterility, and the ability to lift heavy loads; prior tissue recovery or related lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education in biology/chemistry preferred.
• Experience in allied health or tissue banking preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recover split thickness and full thickness skin grafts and corneal tissue as needed in an OR setting.
• Assist in OR duties, prep, drape, circulate, and label tissue grafts per SOPs.
• Maintain on-call schedule and travel to donor service areas as required.
• Pack and ship tissues following processing partner policies and guidelines.
• Complete donor records and documentation accurately in required systems.
