Job summary

The Shed, a leading arts organization in New York City, is seeking a Stewardship Assistant to support high-level donor engagement. You will manage ticket holds and coordinate donor site tours, working closely with development, events, and visitor services teams.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in arts donor relations, excellent communication, meticulous organization, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, including evenings and weekends when needed.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in event and VIP-donor relations support roles, ideally in an arts institution.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally, effectively, and discreetly with donors.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and superior organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ticket holds and allocations for various donor categories.
  • Manage ticket inventory needs and release planning in collaboration with the team.
  • Produce regular ticket hold reports for review and reevaluation.
  • Facilitate donor site tours for boards, high-level members, and visiting patron groups.
  • Foster connections to neighborhood restaurants and experiences to enhance donor visits.
  • Liaise with Visitor Experience on ticket orders and donor engagement.
