Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Walled Lake, MI is seeking a Donation Attendant to greet donors, process donations, and maintain a welcoming donation area. This part-time role requires strong English communication, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to pass a background check.

You will work 19 to 24 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Training is provided and you will join a mission-driven team supporting community programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or currently pursuing education.
• Strong English communication skills for donor and team interactions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Basic math skills for receipts and donations.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check.
• Must be available for a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and provide assistance for exceptional service.
• Process and track donations accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized donation area.
• Sort, load, and unload Salvation Army trucks per center policy.
• Provide information about pickup services for heavy items.
