Job summary

The Salvation Army in Miami, FL seeks a Donor Relations professional to manage the donor program, maintain donor records, and support major gifts through targeted outreach and reporting. The role partners with the Director of Development and Area Commander to enhance donor relationships and fundraising initiatives.

You will handle donor databases, produce stewardship communications, and coordinate events while ensuring accuracy and brand consistency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years’ experience performing administrative work in a customer service setting, OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages donor database systems (Interchange and Power BI); inputs and updates donor information; prepares routine and special donor activity reports; ensures accuracy of records.
• Produces acknowledgement letters, invitations, and stewardship materials for cultivation and solicitation.
• Researches and references database records to answer donor or development staff questions.
• Prepares routine and specialized donor activity reports and communicates with stakeholders via phone.
• Coordinates with direct mail vendor to review, edit, and approve direct mail pieces with brand-consistent messaging.
• Builds audiences by gathering data from the donor database to assess prospects and supports event and donor management strategies.
• Plans, directs and coordinates all aspects of benefits program, recognition and stewardship events for donors.
• Performs other related work as required.
