  • Coordinate and process direct mail communications; including IRS-compliant gift receipts, tribute notifications, pledge reminders and membership renewals
  • Managing donor-related records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality

Donor Relations Operations Assistant (CS26-175)

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) invites applications for the position of Donor Relations Operations Assistant (CS26-175). What You Will Do

The Donor Relations Operations Assistant serves as a key liaison between the SIUE Foundation (SIUEF), donors, and campus partners, playing an essential role in advancing the University’s philanthropic mission.

Key Responsibilities Include

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, non-profit administration, or related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive donor and internal relationships.
  • Knowledge of fundraising operations, gift processing, and donor stewardship best practices.
  • Experience with CRM databases and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with IRS and University policies.
Supplemental Information

Illinois Residency Requirement: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position. Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Driver’s License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days is grounds for immediate separation.
