Job summary

The Jubilee Association of Maryland seeks a Major Gifts Officer to lead donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Based in Kensington with regular local travel, you will manage a donor portfolio and work with the Communications & Development team to reach fundraising goals.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising; CFRE is a plus. Strong communication, detail orientation, and ability to travel evenings and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with a proven track record of cultivating and securing major gifts (CFRE a plus).
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience using CRM software to track donor moves management (Bloomerang preferred).
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to travel locally; some evenings and weekends.
• Bonus: Familiarity with the Benevon fundraising model.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a donor portfolio of 100–150 major and planned gift donors.
• Solicit major, planned, and leadership gifts aligned with donor interests.
• Track donor engagements in Bloomerang and move donors through development cycle.
• Provide timely donor acknowledgments and recognition; coordinate donor experiences across giving levels.
• Assist with planning and execution of fundraising events; lead post‑event follow‑ups.
