Job summary

Church World Service is seeking a Development Manager to advance local fundraising across institutional, individual, congregational, and event-based revenue streams. You will cultivate donors, manage a donor portfolio, and help expand community partnerships through strategic communications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years in development, with 1–2 years of supervisory experience. Hybrid or in‑office work, occasional travel, and events support are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of development experience including managing donor portfolios, executing fundraising strategies, analyzing performance data, and supporting campaigns and events.
• 1–2 years of supervisory or team‑lead experience preferred, ideally managing development or administrative staff.
• Advanced certifications in fundraising or nonprofit management (e.g., CFRE) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute fundraising strategy with the office director.
• Manage donor portfolio across individuals, institutions, and faith-based supporters.
• Coordinate donor communications and acknowledge gifts in a timely manner.
• Maintain donor records and analyze engagement data.
• Support key campaigns and events, including logistics and post-event reporting.
• Collaborate with communications and community engagement teams on outreach.
