Job summary

Shriners Children’s is seeking a PRN Philanthropy Assistant to join the Philanthropy team in Ohio. You will support fund-raising activities, donor cultivation, stewardship programs, and administrative operations including donations processing and acknowledgment letters.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Philanthropy and involves coordinating events, maintaining donor records, and generating reports to inform engagement strategies. Healthcare fundraising experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of philanthropy experience.
• Experience with donor stewardship and events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports Senior Director of Philanthropy in fulfilling departmental duties.
• Processes donations and prepares acknowledgment letters and donor correspondence.
• Tracks and maintains donor activities in the donor database system.
• Creates monthly fundraising and database reports as needed.
• Drafts donor letters of acknowledgment for donations, pledges, and LOIs.
• Documents standard procedures for donations processing and philanthropy operations.
• Supports planning and execution of major fundraising events.
• Acts as day-of logistics coordinator and handles post-event follow up.
