Job summary

National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) seeks a Development Associate to play a key role in fundraising, donor services, and event planning. The role supports donor cultivation, year-end campaigns, and development operations, reporting to the Associate Director of Individual Giving.

Hybrid workplace with potential for collaboration across a seven-person development team; requires strong organizational, writing, and administrative skills and a commitment to NIJC's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field.
• At least one year of experience in development, fundraising, or related area (internships/counts).
• Strong written and verbal communication; highly organized with attention to detail.
• Experience with CRM systems preferred (EveryAction, Little Green Light).

Responsibilities

• Support NIJC's annual appeal and other fundraising campaigns, including generating mailing lists from the CRM and assisting with strategy and donor communications.
• Draft letters and emails to donors and collateral for donor meetings and cultivation touchpoints.
• Assist with donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship reporting from the CRM.
• Provide timely customer service for donors and manage the development inbox.
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for donor meetings, site visits, and fundraising campaigns.
