Job summary

Nebraska Journalism Trust in Omaha, NE seeks a Development Associate to maintain our CRM database and support donors powering our nonprofit newsroom. This part-time role (15 hours weekly) offers remote flexibility and a path for growth within a mission-driven organization.

Responsibilities include CRM data management, donor recognition, timely thank-you communications, and collaboration with the advancement team on campaigns.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in customer service, nonprofit fundraising, marketing, or communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with attention to accuracy.
• Discretion in handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the organization’s web-based CRM database, ensuring that all information is updated in real-time.
• Provide exceptional stewardship and customer service on behalf of Nebraska Journalism Trust to donors and subscribers.
• Respond to email and phone inquiries about supporting the organization.
• Work with the Director of Finance to ensure entered gifts are accurate.
• Thank donors in a timely manner according to donor stewardship plan.
• Assist with seasonal campaigns and appeals with consultants, vendors, and the development team.
• Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
