Job summary

Chicago Botanic Garden is seeking an Operations Associate to support member and donor services within the Development Operations team. Qualifications

• More than three years of experience in development operations, membership services, donor services, nonprofit administration, customer service operations, accounting support, or related fields
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Working knowledge of Raiser's Edge and Galaxy (preferred)
• Ability to communicate with staff, members, donors, and potential donors in professional and courteous manner
• Able to operate both collaboratively and independently
• Strong customer service orientation

Responsibilities

• Member and Donor Operations: assist with daily functions of member and donor operations including processing, fulfillment, and receipting of donations while adhering to procedures
• Maintain confidentiality regarding donor, member, financial, and constituent information
• Deliver accurate gift and membership processing to meet timelines and quality standards
• Process all Tribute gifts and prepare acknowledgment letters
• Help resolve member and donor concerns with professionalism and discretion
• Process event revenue that has tax-deductible and benefit value portions and support reporting
• Coordinate cash and credit card transactions following Garden controls and procedures
• Partner with Development and Finance to investigate issues and deliver solutions
• Cross-train with others to provide backfill during seasonal fluctuations
• Meet established gift processing and acknowledgment service level agreements
• Data Management: maintain records in Raiser's Edge and Galaxy with high data accuracy
• Ensure compliance with organizational, accounting, audit, and IRS requirements
• Support integrity of donor and membership data across systems
• Maintain accurate constituent records including biographical updates and gift documentation
• Support data cleanup and record maintenance initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
