Job summary

Freedom House Thrift in Greensboro seeks a Donation Intake Processor to manage donation intake at the Battleground South store. You will greet donors, sort and organize donations, and maintain a clean, welcoming intake area while representing the mission with professionalism.

Key duties include explaining donation guidelines, tactfully declining items not accepted, safely lifting items up to 50 pounds, and helping keep operations efficient and safe.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with donors.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• A passion for Freedom House Thrift's mission in a Christian environment.
• Prior experience in customer service, retail, or donation processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Donation Intake & Donor Relations: Greet donors warmly, accept, sort, and organize donations, maintain a clean intake area.
• Communication & Donation Guidelines: Explain policies, tactfully decline items not accepted.
• Physical Handling of Donations: Lift and move donations, up to 50 pounds, with care.
• Mission Support & Representation: Uphold the mission and values in all donor interactions.
• Organization & Efficiency: Keep intake area safe, organized, and efficient daily.
