Job summary

Freedom House Thrift in Greensboro, NC is seeking an Intake Processor to manage donation intake at the back door of the Battleground North Store. You will greet donors, accept donations, and ensure a positive experience while upholding the charity’s values.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, engage professionally with donors, and maintain a tidy intake area for safe operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience in customer service, retail, or donation processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience.
• Accept, sort, and organize donations, maintaining a clean intake area.
• Explain donation policies and decline items not in acceptable condition tactfully.
• Safely lift and move donations, including furniture and clothing, up to 50 pounds.
• Represent the mission and values of Freedom House Thrift in donor interactions, fostering goodwill.
• Keep the intake area organized and safe to promote efficiency.
