Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. in Florida is seeking a Medical Screener to join Kedplasma and help ensure donor safety and eligibility. You will blend customer service with healthcare procedures in a community-focused setting, welcoming donors, taking vital signs, and guiding them through the donation process.

You will maintain accurate records, comply with cGMP and regulatory standards, and work with cross-functional teams to support safe plasma collection and a positive donor experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, retail, or plasma/blood collection settings.
• Clinical Laboratory Personnel license required in the State of Louisiana.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Familiarity with FDA, cGMP, and OSHA standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register donors, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
• Guide donors through the health screening process, including reviewing health history forms and determining if further medical review is needed.
• Perform vital signs assessments (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, weight) and fingerstick sampling.
• Prepare and calibrate screening equipment according to SOPs and troubleshoot as needed.
• Monitor donor safety during screening and donation, reporting adverse reactions to staff.
• Explain the donation process, center policies, and safety guidelines clearly.
• Maintain donor records and ensure documentation meets cGMP/regulatory requirements.
• Operate internal computer systems (NDDR, CDCS) per guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, stocked work area and update supply lot numbers.
• Support plasmapheresis by preparing collection machines and monitoring donor comfort.
• Participate in center audits with accurate records and compliance docs.
• Collaborate with staff to meet production goals and donor experience targets.
• Answer donor and public inquiries courteously and transfer calls when needed.
