Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. seeks a Medical Screener to join Kedplasma. You will screen donors, collect vital signs, and guide them through the donation process in a patient-focused environment. This role blends customer service with medical procedures to support life-saving plasma therapies.

Responsibilities include data entry, health history review, equipment preparation, and maintaining compliance records, while collaborating with staff to ensure a smooth donor experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare, retail, or plasma/blood collection.
• Clinical Laboratory Personnel license required in the State of Louisiana.
• Strong interpersonal, clear communication and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with FDA, cGMP, and OSHA standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register donors with accurate data entry.
• Guide donors through health screening and determine need for medical review.
• Perform vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, weight) and fingerstick sampling.
• Prepare and calibrate screening equipment per SOPs and troubleshoot as needed.
• Monitor donor safety during screening and donation; report adverse reactions.
• Explain the donation process, center policies, and safety guidelines clearly.
• Maintain donor records; ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements.
• Operate internal systems such as NDDR and CDCS per guidelines.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and stocked; update supply lot numbers.
• Support plasmapheresis by preparing machines, monitoring comfort, and assisting with disconnects.
