Job summary

Athenian School seeks an Associate Director of Annual and Leadership Giving to lead donor engagement for the Annual Fund and to build a major gifts pipeline. This role reports to the Director of Advancement and collaborates with the Advancement team, board members, and volunteers to meet fundraising goals.

The position emphasizes identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding leadership-level donors and Annual Fund supporters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 3–5+ years in advancement/development.
• Evidence of frontline fundraising success preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with leadership-level donors and Annual Fund donors.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase participation and giving.
• Manage a portfolio of leadership-level donors with face-to-face, virtual, and event-based interactions.
• Collaborate with the Director of Advancement and Communications on annual giving plans.
• Track results and contribute to annual giving plan execution.
