Job summary

The Associate Director of Annual and Leadership Giving at The Athenian School builds relationships and secures resources to support the school’s mission, focusing on annual fund goals and developing a major gifts pipeline.

This role manages leadership-level donors, engages families and alumni, coordinates with the Director of Advancement and Communications, and guides campaigns, events, and donor stewardship to achieve fundraising targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5+ years of full-time work experience in advancement/development.
• Proven track record of fundraising success.
• Experience managing donor relationships and leadership-level asks.
• Experience in an academic environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops strategies to increase participation among parents, alumni, friends, and others, focusing on leadership-level Annual Fund donors.
• Manages a portfolio of leadership-level donors with face-to-face, virtual meetings, calls, and events.
• Qualifies new families for leadership-level Annual Fund gifts and/or major gifts.
• Collaborates with the Director of Advancement to set annual revenue and activity goals.
• Tracks annual giving activity and analyzes trends for planning.
• Prepares donor briefs with research, goals, and talking points for staff and volunteers.
• Works on Annual Fund communications and collateral with the Communications Team.
• Leads the Senior Family Gift Campaign and oversees its execution.
