Job summary

Washington State University Foundation is seeking a Gift Processing Specialist in Pullman to manage the receipt, preparation, posting, and documentation of donations. You will apply foundation and IRS rules, maintain donor records, and ensure timely processing with accuracy and confidentiality.

The role involves collaboration with Advancement staff and other partners to resolve discrepancies and optimize workflows.

Qualifications

Three years of fiscal record keeping experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills.
Experience reviewing, processing, reconciling, or maintaining financial or fiscal records.
Ability to interpret and apply established policies, procedures, rules, and regulations and exercise independent judgment to resolve routine problems.
Ability to work the schedule of an essential staff member, which will include working specific weeks as described in the posting.

Responsibilities

Process gift transactions start-to-finish, from receipt to receipt issuance.
Review, interpret, and apply gift processing policies and procedures.
Monitor and resolve discrepancies; advise Advancement staff on procedures.
Update donor and biographical data in CRM and related records.
Support testing of new CRM features and explore workflow automation opportunities.
