Midwest Transplant Network (MTN) Columbia, MO is seeking a Donor Family Coordinator to manage authorization processes and family interactions at MTN Columbia, MO 65202. You will assess families, coordinate discussions, and ensure timely communication with hospital teams.

The role requires 40 hours weekly with a rotating on-call schedule, travel to satellite locations, and strong documentation skills to support donation activities and LNOK communications.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; preferred focus of study in biological or social sciences, RN, social work or other allied health certification.
• 3-5 years experience in a professional position in a medical environment preferred.
• Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week and participate in 24-hour call. Must be available on non‑call days if needed.
• Detail oriented, organized, excellent tracking/reporting skills, effective written and verbal communication.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, travel within service area, and be onsite at MTN facilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential donors and assist referring staff.
• Maintain a 24/7 on-call schedule (approx. 12–15 24-hour days per month).
• Respond to hospitals within one hour when dispatched.
• Travel to satellite locations to engage with families as requested by Administrators On Call.
• Coordinate authorization discussions with families and legal authorizing individuals.
• Provide authorization disclosures to LNOK and keep accurate donor history records.
