Job summary

Midwest Transplant Network (MTN) in Westwood, KS is seeking a Community Engagement professional to raise awareness of organ, eye and tissue donation. You will develop and deliver education programs to the public while aligning with federal/state regulations and MTN’s mission.

The role requires 3–5 years in community engagement in a medical setting or similar, a relevant undergraduate degree, and willingness to travel within MTN’s Donation Services Area.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, marketing or communications (or equivalent).
• 3-5 years in a professional role focused on community engagement in a medical setting or equivalent knowledge.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, including evenings or weekends.
• Detail oriented with strong tracking/reporting and communication skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have reliable personal transportation; travel within MTN’s Donation Services Area may be required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and operate standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identifies opportunities to raise awareness about organ, eye and tissue donation to external stakeholders.
• Develops, implements, and delivers education programs to the general public.
• Maintains knowledge of laws/regulations related to the donation process.
• Produces reports documenting growth/trends in community education and engagement.
• Supports annual Donate Life Legacy Walk and national campaigns via partnerships.
• Represents MTN to Donate Life America and other agencies.
