Job summary

Miller-Keystone Blood Center is seeking a Collections Specialist (Phlebotomist) to safely collect donations from volunteers in a compassionate, professional manner. The role supports hospitals in PA and NJ and starts with an anticipated hourly salary of $18.00, commensurate with experience.

The position includes on-site training at the Bethlehem center and benefits for full-time staff, with varied hours to meet donor needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification or Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 6 months in a Blood Center or healthcare setting preferred.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English and use basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional donor experiences using prior knowledge and skills.
• Process donors through systems for screening, phlebotomy, and automated collections when appropriate.
• Prioritize donor safety by following standard procedures and regulations.
• Set up supplies, perform daily QC, and ensure equipment availability for collections.
