Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking a Retail Donation Attendant for the Bonner Springs store. The role supports donors, sorts donations, and maintains store standards with a strong customer-service focus.

The position is hourly, full-time, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and retirement options. A monthly bonus up to $250 is available, along with paid holidays and flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED Preferred.
• The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management.
• Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
• Necessary math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive customer service, greet donors, assist with drop-offs, and issue tax receipts.
• Handle donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated and purchased goods into categories: sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, and trash.
• Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and clean the store area.
• Uphold store cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with team members and leadership.
• Follow safe work practices and keep aisles debris-free.
• Maintain a professional appearance per dress code.
• Safeguard agency assets and report incidents of theft or misuse.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Monthly Bonus Up to $250.00
• PTO Accrual up to 15 days based on hours worked.
