Job summary

JVS in San Francisco, CA seeks a Development and Donor Engagement Manager to lead annual fund campaigns, donor stewardship, and events within the Development Department. This role supervises a database coordinator and collaborates with Marketing to align messaging and campaigns.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development operations, or a related role requiring donor communications and stewardship, CRM/data management, campaign coordination, and strong project management skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills; dependable and reliable with the ability to work autonomously or in a team.
• Self-starter with discretion, independent judgment, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Innovative, data-driven approach with collaboration across cross-functional partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; ability to tailor messages for diverse donor audiences.
• Comfortable learning new technologies and software platforms; troubleshoot issues and suggest improvements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage annual fundraising campaigns and donor communications with segmentation and timelines.
• Design and implement Salesforce-based donor engagement, portfolios, moves management, and reporting.
• Support audience tracking and list management for mailings and e-communications.
• Oversee portfolios and tasks for frontline fundraisers; provide cultivation and solicitation guidance.
• Manage new donor pipeline and ensure timely stewardship of notable donors.
• Collaborate with Marketing on calendars, online giving, and donor communications across channels.
• Lead donor communications; write emails, letters, and event materials with consistent voice and branding.
• Coordinate events including Envision and other fundraising activities; assist with sponsorship outreach and logistics.
