Job summary

A Kid Again is seeking a Development Manager to join our fundraising team in Michigan. This full-time role reports to the Executive Director and focuses on securing support through special events, corporate partnerships, and individual donors.

You will promote our mission, deepen community engagement, recruit and coordinate volunteers, and ensure accurate tracking of donor activity while expanding the chapter's fundraising impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in nonprofit preferred.
• 2–3 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with success in: Prospecting, cultivating and stewarding relationships; Launching and running fundraising events; Developing and engaging committees.

Responsibilities

• Build and cultivate relationships with individuals and companies to align their philanthropic priorities with the chapter’s programmatic and fundraising objectives.
• Manage an active donor portfolio stewarding donor relationships, and accurately tracking activity in the organization’s donor database.
• Plan and manage the chapter’s fundraising events by developing and supporting event committees, securing sponsorships and in-kind donations, acquiring auction items when appropriate, and coordinating event logistics.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for fundraising committees and day-of-event support, while building and maintaining strong volunteer relationships.
• Partner with companies, individuals, and organizations conducting third-party fundraising events in support of the chapter. Serve as the primary liaison to ensure a smooth and positive experience and provide timely and appropriate recognition for their support.
• Support chapter programs as a donor engagement opportunity by inviting donors and prospects to experience the mission in action; this role requires availability for evening and weekend activities.
• Perform other duties and assignments as needed to support the development goals and overall mission of the chapter.
