Job summary

A Kid Again is seeking a Development Manager to lead fundraising initiatives and secure support through events, donor solicitations, and corporate partnerships. This full-time role reports to the Executive Director and focuses on expanding community engagement, promoting the mission, and building lasting relationships with volunteers and donors.

The role requires strong communication, event planning, donor stewardship, and the ability to travel within southeastern Michigan as needed to expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (nonprofit preferred).
• 2–3 years of nonprofit fundraising experience with success in prospecting, cultivating and stewarding relationships.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; travel 20% within southeastern Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Build and cultivate relationships with individuals and companies to align their philanthropic priorities with the chapter’s programmatic and fundraising objectives.
• Manage a donor portfolio, stewarding donor relationships and tracking activity in the donor database.
• Plan and manage fundraising events, secure sponsorships and in-kind donations, and coordinate event logistics.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for fundraising committees and day-of-event support.
• Partner with companies, individuals, and organizations conducting third-party fundraising events and provide timely recognition.
• Support donor engagement by inviting donors to experience the mission in action; evening and weekend availability required.
• Perform other duties to support development goals and the mission.
