Job summary

Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI) invites enrolled students to apply for a summer internship focused on communications, fundraising, events, marketing, or nonprofit work. The intern will assist donor engagement, storytelling, and event planning in a collaborative environment, supporting donor communications and content creation.

This 35-hour-per-week program runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, with a stipend of $9,650 paid in bi-weekly installments.

Qualifications

• Pursuing studies in communications, PR, nonprofit management, marketing, business, journalism, event management, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Professional, collaborative, and dependable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Interest in philanthropy, nonprofit work, healthcare, or biosciences preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with donor stewardship and fundraising initiatives.
• Support special events and community engagement activities.
• Help track donor communications and maintain records.
• Research prospective donors, grants, and partnership opportunities.
