Job summary

The Development Manager at Community Youth Center of San Francisco will support the next stage of fund development growth by managing donor systems, donor communications, and major donor cultivation, reporting to the Director of Development and Communications.

You will coordinate campaigns and events, develop donor-facing materials, and strengthen internal fundraising infrastructure to deepen relationships with current and prospective supporters, across program, finance, and communications teams.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, donor relations, grants, events, or related work.
• Experience supporting individual giving, donor stewardship, campaigns, sponsorships, or fundraising events.
• Strong writing skills, especially for donor-facing materials, emails, reports, and campaign content.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Experience using donor databases, CRMs, spreadsheets, or other tracking systems.
• Ability to work across teams and gather information from program, finance, leadership, and communications staff.
• Commitment to youth development, community-based work, equity, and culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Maintain donor pipeline and records, including current and lapsed donors, prospects, and sponsors.
• Prepare materials for donor meetings, including briefing materials and donor histories.
• Coordinate fundraising campaigns and events.
• Develop donor-facing materials and dashboards for progress tracking.
• Partner with finance and program staff to ensure accurate recording and reporting of gifts.
