Job summary

The University of Denver seeks an Assistant Director of Development for Athletics to advance leadership annual giving and major gifts, building a robust donor pipeline across 18 varsity programs. You will manage a 100-200 prospect portfolio, qualify new donors, and secure gifts in the $1,000–$49,999 range while collaborating with advancement and athletics teams.

This full-time, on-site role supports DU Athletics’ strategy, requires strong donor engagement, and offers travel and event

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 years of professional experience including donor/constituent relations or related sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Frontline fundraising and donor pipeline development for leadership annual gifts and major gifts.
• Manage a portfolio of 100-200 prospects; qualify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors.
• Oversee athletics annual giving program and coordinate with campus advancement colleagues.
• Document donor interactions in the CRM and track qualifications, visits, and dollars raised.
• Occasional travel to meet donors; evenings and weekends may be required.
